Website Optimization, High Positioning on All Major Search Engines

1- ‘Search engines’ are websites that store other websites information inside their own search results and are used by the majority of customers on the internet. The stored information then appears in the search results of said search engines when potential customers search for information to do with that business/trade/service. There are two types of search results that appear on the page when you search for something on a search engine; Pay Per Click results and Non Pay Per Click results (Free).

2- ‘Search terms’ about your business/trade/service are words that potential customers will use when they are trying to find a website on the internet. They generally search for the thing they are looking for and, if applicable, the area where they want the work to be done. For example, if they are looking for a Plumber from Bristol, they would probably enter the terms “plumber Bristol”. back to top

3- Your website link has got to appear in the search results for search terms to do with your business. It's how the search engines work; the majority of internet users use a search engine as it is the simplest method of locating the site (service) they require. For example, tomorrow you might need a roofer to repair your roof for you, do you know a roofing company from the area where you live? So how could you find a company to repair your roof for you? Simply by using a search engine and searching for a roofer in the area where you want the work to be done!

4- Work will commence on your site as soon as you have replied to the confirmation email that will be sent to your website.

5- will take around 5-7 working days to survey and make the amendments to your website.

6- When your website has been surveyed Aquarius’s Webmaster will contact you via email and ask you for the log in details to your website, they will then make all the necessary changes required.

7- When the work has been completed on your website, Aquarius will submit it to all the major search engines on the internet. From that point it should take approximately 1-4 weeks for it to appear within the search results concerned with your business. Please note: this is conditional on your current website; if your site has not been updated or maintained for a long period of time there is every chance that your site has been dropped out of the system of most search engines, and so your website will be treated like a new website just entering the system when we submit it.

8- Once your website links starts to appear in the search results for search terms to do with your business it should stay there for a period of time. But to keep it there for a long period of time you have got to regularly update the pages in your site! Changes have got to be made on a regular basis or the search engines will see that site as ‘old news’ and it will then start to drop down in the search results.

9- If your website does not appear in the search results of major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN, it is probably because your website was not made compatible enough for these search engines to index it into their systems. You probably had your site created for you by a company that makes websites; you gave them some artwork and some information about your business and they went away and created your website. But such companies do not know anything about website optimization and/or are unconcerned with getting your website to the top of the search results, for search terms, to do with your business; they only know how to make websites! This is probably why you can't find your website in the search results of search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN - because your website was not enabled correctly to start with or set up in the way search engines require websites to function in order to collect relevant information, in order to place your site on the front page. With, in some cases, millions of sites being referenced on some search terms, to be on page 1 of a search engine is a major boost to any business.

11- Yes - we do host websites. We can host your current site on the internet, or any other websites that you may want created.

12- The one-off Package Deal costs £395 per website, containing up to 8 pages, a further £50 per page thereafter. For this inclusive price you will receive a fully functioning, optimized site, which has been checked for efficiency and functionality, and amended where needed. This will include your titles, keywords, area targeting & body text. This package does not include any future Updating or Maintenance Services.

13- For the monthly Updating and Maintenance Service of your website we charge £50 per month. For this we will do all the things that are included in the one-off package deal, plus any further updating and maintenance work for 12 months. This highly recommended service will more than pay for itself as it is essential for all websites to be updated at least once a month, or they will start to drop down in the search results on the search engines.

14- It doesn’t matter what type of product, trade or service your website provides we can usually get it within the first 20 results of all major search engines on the internet for search terms to do with that business/trade/service website. In some cases we will get your site listed within the first 5 results that show up on these search engines; it all depends on how much competition there is in your market sector and how long your site has been up on the internet for.

15- Directories are websites that list other companies’ information within their own websites. That information then appears amongst all the other listings that have been submitted to that category within that directory. It is worth being listed on these directories simply because it is free to do so in most cases, but your site is one of sometimes fifty different adverts that appear when someone searches, therefore you only have a one in fifty chance of getting a ‘sale’ from your listing. Directories will list as many companies as they can in each category, there is no limit.

16- Yes, we can arrange Pay Per Click advertising, however, we are not marketing this service until early next year, as we wish to concentrate on the other side of our business, that is, getting websites to the top of the search results without having to pay for the click through. The adverts on the left hand side are the non-paying click through adverts.

19- We require 50 % of the value of the agreed works to be done, when you have returned the email that we will send to your website. Work will then commence. The remaining 50 % is to be paid on completion of work. With the ongoing package, where we do monthly updating and maintenance work for you, the same payment method is used; you pay 50 % upfront and the remaining 50 % on completion of work, plus £50 per month for a period of 12 months, for updating, re-optimizing and the maintenance service.

20- No! We don’t offer discounts! This is due to us ‘doing what it says on the label’. We offer a fairly priced comprehensive service to all our customers. We firmly believe that to offer discounts companies usually skimp on essentials and provide a lesser service for a section of their customers, and this is a situation we do not wish to find ourselves in. All of our customers will receive the same high standard of service. Also, we have no need to offer dubious enticements or buy now and get, further perceived, discounts or bonuses. We merely offer a welter of relevant experience, integrity and honesty in our dealings – but no discount payments on the service packages we provide!
